Konstantin Grcic (*1965) trained as a cabinetmaker and studied design in London. 1991 he set up his own design practice Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design in Munich and has developed furniture, products and lighting for companies such as Agape, Authentics, Classicon, Driade, Flos, Iittala, Krups, Lamy, Magis, Moormann, Moroso, Muji, Plank, and Thomas/Rosenthal. He always defines function in human dimensions, combining maximum formal rigour with considerable intellectual acuity and humour. Many of his products have received prestigious design awards. In December 2005 Phaidon Press London published a comprehensive monograph about his work.
