| Harald Gründl |
|
| Designer and co-founder of EOOS (with Martin Bergmann and Gernot Bohmann), Vienna (A) |
Harald Gründl (*1967) studied industrial design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna where he met Martin Bergmann and Gernot Bohmann with whom he set up EOOS in 1995. From 1997 to 1998 a scholarship took these three designers to Paris, where they refined their design principle of "poetic analysis" of rituals and objects. Their intensive examinations, involving meanings that lie outside the form itself, have delighted clients of EOOS such as: Adidas Originals, Giorgio Armani Cosmetics, Walter Knoll, Zumtobel Lighting, Moroso, Red Bull, Duravit, Matteograssi or the mobile telephone company A1, for whom they designed the a1 lounge, a seminal flagship store that has received many awards. Gründl completed 2005 his postgraduate studies with a PhD; the subject of his dissertation was "The Death of Fashion".
