Max Borka (*1954) studied literature and political science and has worked for 25 years as a recognised journalist and author in the field of art, architecture and design. From 1999 to 2002, he was director of the Interieur Foundation in Courtrai, Belgium, where he twice organised the Interieur Biennale, in addition to several other exhibitions in Cologne, Paris and Milan. He was co-founder of DAMn°, an international magazine on art, architecture, design and fashion, and is today director of MaxBox, a design consultancy agency. He is also art director of designbrussels, a new design festival in Brussels, and a founding member of the Belgian Ministry of Design. He has written several books on architecture (Jo Crepain), fashion (Walter Van Beirendonck), and art (Picasso, Koen Theys and others).
