Senior Vice President International Initiatives, Art Center College of Design, Pasadena (USA)
Erica Clark (*1948) is co-founder and head of the International Initiatives department at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She was previously Director of Development at MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art). Today she is responsible for exchange programmes aimed at creating a greater awareness of design and design education and in this context works with various institutions such as INSEAD (business school), Fontainbleau, France, and CENTRO (design, cinema and television), Mexico City. Designmatters is an initiative exploring real-world social applications of design and responsible business practices. She conceived the City of Learning, an initiative to create lifelong learning opportunities by linking Pasadena’s many educational, cultural, and civic resources. In 2004 she launched the Art Center Design Conference series exploring the intersections between design, science, business, the arts, and technology.
